Unfortunate because Jenkins certainly had some talent and he showed signs of being spectacular at times. However, his ballhandling concerns, his lack of physical strength and overall inconsistent play was something that did not change over 2 years. Don’t like to base someone’s evaluation solely on statistics, but a negative assist-to-turnover ratio of 38-to-46 is something that just cannot happen for a guard.
Best of luck to Jenkins, and hope he gets another opportunity in Division I.
Ok, so Jenkins is a definite, Grennan and Davis are likely gone, and Smith maybe gone?
This program is a CF....I haven't been checking in at all in the off-season in past years but my curiosity got the best of me...and yes, low and behold, I was rewarded with more great information about the future of the Stags. So the 3rd most expensive program in the MAAC has 8 players with college experience putting on Stags jerseys next season? Fan base and roster are working in concert as they decline.
Ladies and gents, Coach Johnson better have an ace up his sleeve...or you can welcome a 10 win season.

Always sad to see someone go prematurely because things didn't work out for whatever reason. So I too want to say to you Justin, good luck in wherever you go and whatever you do. Just one favor however, please don't come back to kill us with big plays for another team (like Jamel) okay?
But, this has been put in motion by Coach Johnson...what is his plan for replacing these guys? Yeah, we have a few frosh who may/may not be good but there are no studs in the recruiting class, Rakim-esque JUCO's coming in or reason for optimism that I can see.
In the real world, if you had this type of year...you had better be selling what you're doing to change the game. If your VP of sales hit 60% of goal and lost 4 people on his team, wouldn't you expect him/her to be over-communicating about the upcoming changes. Oh wait, that is in the real world where you wouldn't have a 5 year extension for doing nada.

I was hoping that Lincoln Davis could have worked something out and stayed. He seemed to have a lot of potential, and athletic ability. There were also a few people who thought he could be an excellent player. He is was the closest thing we had to a 3G.... last year and going into next year.
Joe Stag, why would you lessen yourself and go to a NEC School. ;-) No, that is a good program.
I do wish these guys well...I was happy to see Jamel get back on the court and I try to keep track of Adam Jones, Keith Matthews, and all others who donned a Stag jersey whether they transfer, play pro after graduation, etc.

My guess is he will go to Robert Morris
Biggest mystery of them all based on what we had heard about him coming in. Also from a report from a basketball person who had seen him work out in the summer with the other players. He liked him a lot (and he has been right with many of his other observations). Just never know!
