Marcus makes 3rd team and Rose 4th team. The 3G/SF position seems to be the strongest, deepest, and most experienced position in the MAAC (Poole, Hearst, Chauvaugn Lewis, Deon Jones, Nicoulas, Williams). 7 of them making All MAAC. I would like to see Marcus excel, and be the top at that position. He has the potential. Rose is grouped with a lot of Soph PG's in the MAAC. He too has to improve to make the official All-MAAC team. But in addition to that, he is going to be playing alongside a much better guard this year...... Rome, Triple Threatt, Nelson, or a more experienced Chappel or StevieJ. www.collegesportsmadness.com/article/9865

Looking at the players selected by College Sports Madness, I'm thinking Manhattan might be overrated by the preseason publications. They only have one player on the 4 teams (Andujar) and he's not a guard. I think it's pretty much a given that the teams with the best guard play are the teams that end up with the better MAAC records.

I think it's pretty much a given that the teams with the best guard play are the teams that end up with the better MAAC records. I agree with that statement 100%. Actually I only agree 99%, because TOT's last year had some really good guard play, but had nothing up-front..... Alvin Carter, Geoff Middleton. What I do believe is that you need good guard play, to be a good team..... 100%. IMO, Manhattan is rated high due to respect from being last season's MAAC Champion. I have no problem with that, it happens every year. Jaspers have some decent players at guard, but they don't have that special player..... unless I am missing something.
