Hofstra beats Florida State 82-77 in Paradise Jam. We need to figure out a way to steal Hofstra away from the CAA to the MAAC.
We need to join Hofstra in the CAA.
Better yet we need to steal back the Hofstra coach (Mihalic) to the MAAC (to Fairfield naturally), have him bring back his former MAAC players (Green and Tankersly) plus the player the Stags came close to getting twice (Bernardi). Then we would be in good shape for sure!

If you aren't in a turkey stupor this afternoon or aren't a fan of the Packers and Bears, Monmouth (2-1) plays Notre Dame (3-0) at 6:30 pm on ESPNU in Orlando, FL.
The Stags (2-3) play Monmouth on January 11 and at Monmouth on February 5. Monmouth was picked #2 behind #1 Iona in the MAAC Coaches Preseason Poll.
MID-MAJOR TOP 25 For the first time in program history, Monmouth was ranked in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 last week at 22nd. MU moved down one spot into 23rd this past week. The Hawks are the second school from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in the poll with Iona ranked 21st, down from the #6 spot the Gaels occupied during the preseason and the #13 spot they were in last week. The only team other than the Gaels on the list that Monmouth could play this year is Wichita State, who sits in third in the weekly poll.

Great inside and outside play from the Hawks. Down 8 at half, out scored ND by 19 in the first 13 minutes of the second half. Held on down the stretch after ND tied it. Justin Robinson is a force.
