Isn't anyone out there concerned about what is happening with our recruiting? Because I am. We have three players coming in next year who are very similar. I do not see any stars in this group. I hope that Sydney is not slipping back into his previous mindset of offering scholarships to Ivy League type players. I have seen Nolan in person and the others on tape. We need the kind of quickness and athletic ability that only the inner city can provide. This is very risky.
Can someone clarify for me - It looks like we will now have 4 guys who would fill the 1 or 2 spots (JS, Tyler, JJ, and Aidas). Is Olivier competing with CC and Nolan at 3? And JK, Milin, Degnan, and Smith are what we have at 4 and 5? Do we have another scholarship for up front help? If Amadou comes back as grad, will he use up a scholarship? Seems like we could use a bigger body to help inside.

i flunked the 2 plus 2 class in 8th grade but, it seems that we now have 7 guards for next year, and if sidibie returns - - we have one scholarship left. a big, strong, heavy, talented person would be in order.
I'm busted Bridgeport. I was trying to sound smarter than I really am. I'm not sure what a "3" is anyway. I realize you can't pigeon hole players into numbers, but like you said, seems like we have a lot of guard types and could use a bruiser to defend and get the ball for them when JK is tired or in foul trouble.
It looks like we have a nice variety of options at the 3 guard positions.
Let's hope the 3 new guys (AK, OC, and TN) are as talented as the last 4. Can't have too many good guards.
I'm torn between a 5th yr rebounding rim protector and a 6'7" guy that can get out and defend the 3 pt line and run the floor. I want this team to feel it has the option of putting 2 legit bigs on the floor for extended minutes and not worry about fouls. Degnan and a mystery man could be key to providing that depth.
JS -- this site has him at 16.3 ppg as of 2/11 ( through 11 games)
This site says he is at 29.5ppg, but it seems it might be from a different league and Timeframe
