Like his versatility and physicality. Even better that he is a good student with the 3.4 GPA. Mr. Sears would thrive in our up tempo system and compete for minutes right away.
A great fit for him and the Stags.

He seems to play bigger than 6-6. Strong, a leaper and a very good handle, at least in the video. I like his athleticism and strength. Another kid who attacks the rim. My guess, he is coming to sign.
Stag 79, How can you tell anything from that video clip? If anything, he looks soft. Montgomery looked much more physical and athletic. I know that I am being just as ridiculous as you based on a 1 minute video, but I would not sign this kid based on that video.
Stop the presses. Which guy are we recruiting? #5 from La. who is a whole lot different from the guy from Iowa who is in the video provided. I hope it is the guy from Louisiana.

Well all we do is comment on videos. And coaching decisions. I admit I can't tell much. But what the heck. I like the little I see.

Huh? I admit it I'm confused here. Is it the guy in the video, the photo or what? Is he from Iowa or La.? Who does he play for? Any stats? All that said (although the video doesn't show much), I again defer to the trust factor that the coaching staff has earned recently. He must be good or else they wouldn't be bringing him here for a visit. Will be anxiously waiting for any information on official signings in the coming days or weeks!
It is hard to tell anything in a highlight video on how good a player is, I rather look at the video's of whole games. What you can tell from a highlight video are some stregths and weaknesses and some of the skills a player has (ballhandling, no look passes, does he play over the rim, strength and speed, and what position he might play). To me, Sears seams to be more smooth…. like Curtis Cobb. He also had a nice soft touch on his junmper. He also had good timing on his blocked shots. The video did not portray him as rugged, but that does not mean he is not. Maybe he is a big man that does not get in foul trouble

Looks like he also played football. That to me would indicate that he might indeed be "rugged." Interesting that in the video I just saw, defense seemed to be a major priority in his game. Lots of steals and blocks. Maybe a shutdown type of wing defender?

I think he's joking on his Twitter about deciding between basketball and continuing to be a "football decoy." So... while it looks like he was on the team, I'm guessing he wasn't Gronk Jr..
Perhaps he's on a secret mission to lure JK to LSU...
* Great conversation with Quinnipac today .. (1 hour ago)
Meh. That's not the best Tweet to see following a Fairfield visit
