But it indicates that a deal to keep Chris on is in the works or done.
The staff has offered a few recruits since he has been interim. This week is the National Prep Playoffs so its a big week for recruiting. I wouldn't read too into the few extra offers we had yesterday.
IMO, offers mean little. Coaches extend offers by the dozens with the hope of landing one recruit. Now if Casey gets a commitment from one of the offers that MIGHT signal the interim tag will be removed from head coach title. Even a commitment may mean little in this new world of the transfer portal and NIL because a commitment is really only for one year.

To me, a commitment still matters. Yes, we have no guarantee that Floyd and Peyton Smith will not transfer but I think it was a big deal that we got commitments from them last summer.
In addition to the 3 players who announced an offer from us last week on Twitter, verbalcommits lists us as having offered 6’3” guard Jacob Hudson last week. He played a postgrad season for the Phelps school in Pennsylvania this year and is originally from Houston, Texas.
Three new offers mentioned on X (formerly Twitter) by the recruits in the last 24 hours. In addition to O’Hara and Miller from the Combine Academy NC, (information on them in the post directly above this one) we have offered 6’3” guard Jonah Hinton. Hinton’s at Panola Community College in Texas and played his prep ball in Naperville, Illinois.
