I have a regular old life to live. I'm sure there are far more talented and qualified people than I to look into these things. But, my point is that if multi-billion $$$ companies are now going to provide professional sports-level roster budgets for college sports teams... and Fairfield wants to compete on a national level (as stated)... then they have to get after it early and think BIG. Things are moving fast and hitting up local businesses for a few bucks is GOOD... but it's probably not going to keep pace with others' efforts.
There's a lot of $$$ in NYC. Is Europe a viable source? Lots of big sports clubs over there - some with ties to Fairfield - maybe they'd toss a $1m or 2 to get a foot in the door where it wasn't previously possible?
