The kid has a motor, great hands, and rebounds well for his size. I don't think he is big enough or strong enough right now, but his feel for the game could carry him. I will be interested to see how he does at the prep level, but I think Makai Ashton-Langford will be the star at Cushing next season, so some of it depends on how they work together. Makai will probably have the ball in his hands a ton.

we need that and two JUCO studs and we are in business. does anyone know where we stand with the JUCOs? Yes, we are recruiting JUCO's as confirmed by Verbal Commits. And since we have not gone the JUCO route very often, that is a much needed change in Philosophy. So that is good news. My guess is we will hear something in 1-4 weeks as that is when JUCO's will be done with their final tests and academic requirements to graduate. I think a JUCO guard is the #1 priority, preferably someone who can play the 2G or 3G Hopefully Jared Harper follows the same path at Gary Martin, and Stevie Johnston.

The final NERR rankings have come out concerning all scholastic players in New England (including ALL public and prep schools), and for what it's worth, Tyler Nelson finished at #24 (up from #26 at the start of the year), and Ami Lakoju made the list at #70. And in Mass. Tyler was #8. In Conn. Ami was #29. Very interesting that Ami got rated, as at the beginning of the season there is no way he would have been able to be listed. Does show improvement in his game I would think.

And to put it in context: Quinnipiac signed the #17, #36 and #44 top N.E. players Rider: #26,#34 and #59 Siena #28 Iona #32 Manhattan #33 Marist #47 and #63 Monmouth #68.
Bottom line...many MAAC teams are faring well relative to us.
