Best stat numbers all year, 9/1-20/12. Assist/turnover ratio of PG and team respectively. These are the expected ratios that good teams put up on a regular basis, but until this game have been unattainable by the Stags. This is a start to better things if they can continue to produce something similar in the next games. It would be a big deal and mean much better results if this type of ballhandling and passing (along with the consistent conversion of such) could become a habit.

Just like shooting, passing is contagious. And they both worked hand in hand last night. The other thing is that we were able to have a consistent 5-man line-up out there, where we did not have a player that was struggling on the court. That is so important for any type of spread offense that wants to have proper spacing and multiple passing options. For most of the games this year, our 2G and Center positions were so incosistent, it seemed like we we playing with only 3 scoring options.
We have to "Strive for 5", and have the best Starting 5, and play it consisently enough so we can achieve some level Confidence and Chemistry with that group.
Nice win for the stags as i had indicated previousy. Good to get any win these days. Extra good to win on the road. The buffalo trip is never easy. However, i must temper my thoughts and rememeber the victory was against Niagara who like the Stags are not a very good team. Additonally, we caught NU when they are not playing particularly well, losers of 6 games in a row prior to last night. I'll concede the stags have improved if the stags play a respectable game against the griffs tomorrow (even if they loose)and if they can split the remaing two games. Consistency is the benchmark of improvement. One win against Nagara does not meet that benchmark. Although you need to start at some point to be consistent.

I agree - we didn't just beat duke in the first round of the NCAA tournament. But with the way the team has been going we need to celebrate every victory and every step forward this team makes. Fairfield has only swept 2 or more games in buffalo, 4 times in 25 tries. So it not something that happens often and if this team wins tomorrow it will be a notable accomplishment worthy of celebrating.
