PROMOTIONS:
Town of Fairfield Appreciation Night: $3 adult tickets, $2 youth tickets for Fairfield residents. Adults must present a valid driver's license, government-issued ID or other proof of residence. Children accompanied by an adult resident do not need to provide proof of residence. Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night: All Fairfield University faculty and staff receive an extra free ticket (in addition to their own) by presenting their StagCard on gameday.
Town of Fairfield Appreciation Night and the University still will charge Fairfield residents $3.00 to go watch the Stags play Siena on Wednesday night on Lessing Field. Is the goal of that promotion to get more local fans on campus to watch the Stags or still another way to make a few bucks off them too? It says to me that the University appreciates the local community but just so much. Stag Women's Soccer so far has averaged only 313 fans in their first 4 home games and like all Stag programs needs more support at the home games, especially from the local community. Giving FREE tickets to any and all Fairfield residents that might be interested and to try going to a Stag Women's Soccer game seems like a much better way for the University to show their appreciation, especially on a week night. Shortsighted IMO and not the best way to engage the town residents and build local support.
