The Stags (6-5-2)(1-2-2) scored four times in the second half in picking up their first MAAC victory of the season, 4-0 over Canisius (4-6-2)(1-4-1) on Lessing Field before 210 fans. Alex Madden picked up the first two tallies to bring her season total to nine while Amy Akerley and Sara Plowman also scored for the Stags. "We had a good response in the second half after a pretty pedestrian first half," Head Coach David Barrett said. "I thought we were better than what we showed in the first half and I was really proud of the team with the way they responded. We made the necessary adjustments tactically and emotionally to play closer to the level that we expect to play."The Stags are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 10 when they travel to Iona for a 3:00 pm kickoff.
