Stags Sports Network to Broadcast 44 Live Events This Fall
Every home contest in field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball to stream
The Stags Sports Network will kick off its 2019-20 broadcast schedule with 44 contests set to air during the fall season. The slate includes every home game in field hockey, men's and women's soccer and volleyball, the first four swim meets of the season, and the entire 2019 MAAC Volleyball Championship.
The Stags Sports Network aired 117 home events during the 2018-19 academic year, including 34 ESPN productions highlighted by 23 men's and women's basketball games and the 2019 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship. In addition to live events, the Stags Sports Network also produced 32 podcasts and six episodes of From the Director's Chair last year.
"After a banner year for the Stags Sports Network in 2018-19, we look forward to another season sharing the stories of Fairfield University and our outstanding student-athletes," said Zach Dayton, Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Marketing and Communications. "Our entire team is focused on the 2019-20 season: the successes, advancements and new challenges to face head-on as we renew our commitment to being among the premier broadcast entities in the MAAC and throughout college athletics."
Events broadcast by the Stags Sports Network will appear on Facebook Live, the ESPN family of networks and the flagship Stags Sports Network.
The action in the front of the camera will be called by lead play-by-play announcer J.J. Duke. Duke is one of the most prolific broadcasters currently on the Connecticut college sports scene, on the call for nearly 200 games in 2018-19, including 61 contests across eight different sports for the Stags.
