After helping the Stags to an unbeaten weekend, which featured a 4-0 shutout against LIU, Fairfield University Women's Soccer student-athletes Nicole Stryjek and Gena Pike were named players of the week by the MAAC. Stryjek was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week while Pike earned the MAAC Rookie of the Week award. Both honors were the first weekly distinctions in the duo's collegiate careers. "It's a tremendous recognition for both Gena and Nicole," Head Coach David Barrett said. "Both had very good weekends helping us get two good results. They are really working hard to improve each day and I hope more good days are ahead for each player."The Stags hold a 3-2-1 record after their draw against Penn and their win over LIU last weekend. Fairfield will stay home to host Bryant on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
