Many a Stag took a Friday night journey pre-1971 down I-95 to visit this all female campus. But as the CT drinking age was lowered to 18 and the female population at FU gradually increased, these trips became less attractive. Most famous Alum was probably actress Mercedes Ruehl. Iona could use the additional space but who knows, Sacred Heart will probably buy it and call it their New York City Campus

Back in the politically incorrect day, CNR was sometimes referred to as the "College of No Romance" by some guys and the "College of No Resistance" by some of the women students. In my freshman year of 1969, our Fairfield University (of St. Robert Bellarmine) in the final year of being an all male university would bus in the ladies from the then all female Manhattanville College (of the Sacred Heart) for Oak Room dances and other social events.
