The championship field for the 2019 MAAC Volleyball Championship has been confirmed. The six teams competing to claim this year’s MAAC title at Fairfield University's Alumni Hall include Fairfield University, Canisius College, Rider University, Marist College, Niagara University, and Quinnipiac University. The top seeded Fairfield Stags (22-5)(17-1) rode a 19-match winning streak throughout most of the season, before collecting the team’s first loss to a conference opponent this weekend against Canisius. The Stags claimed the No. 1 seed on Nov. 9 with a 3-1 win over Rider. As the top seed, the Stags will receive a first round bye and start the team’s journey for an eleventh MAAC Championship on Nov. 23 against the Game Two winner at 2:00 p.m. The Stags fell in last year’s championship to top seed and eventual champions Iona College in the semifinals as the No. 4 seed. The Stags are (11-0) at home in Alumni Hall this season. 2019 MAAC Volleyball Championship ScheduleRound-Game-Match-up-Date-Time-NetworkFirst Round Game 1 No. 3 Rider vs No. 6 Quinnipiac Nov. 22 5:00 PM on ESPN3/ESPN+ First Round Game 2 No. 4 Marist vs No. 5 Niagara Nov. 22 8:00 PM on ESPN3/ESPN+ Semifinal Game 3 No. 1 Fairfield vs Game 2 Winner Nov. 23 2:00 PM on ESPN3/ESPN+Semifinal Game 4 No. 2 Canisius vs Game 1 Winner Nov. 23 5:00 PM on ESPN3/ESPN+ Championship Game 5 Game 3 Winner vs Game 4 Winner Nov. 24 2:00 PM on ESPN3/ESPN+maacsports.com/news/2019/11/17/2019-maac-volleyball-championship-field-set.aspx

Looking forward to being at AH watching the stags win the tournament and get to the NCAA. I expect Marist to be the stags opponent on Saturday and for Canisius to come out of the other bracket. If the Stags can beat Marist they would face Canisius on Sunday for the bid. Rightfully so because both teams were picked in the coaches pre-season poll as #1(Canisius) and #2 ( Fairfield ). Stags up!

Stags win a 5 set match, after being down 2-0. Looks like Stags were sending their kill shots right down the middle to win the last 3 sets..
WoW..... Stags really turned it around

I would not call Playing QU a break! QU is playing extremely well right now. OTOH it is very difficult to win three matches over three nights. Stags have to play well from the very beginning. I could not take going down 0-2 again and then rally to win as the stags did against the Foxes. Hopefully a good number of students will come out to cheer the Stags on as they came out today. Stags up. Stags way up!!!

Stags take 1st set. Close game, but Stags started to pull away when they reached 17 points
