Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse – the reigning back-to-back MAAC Champions – claimed a share of the top spot in the 2020 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, as voted upon by the league's nine head coaches. The Stags were represented on the Preseason All-MAAC Team by Kelly Horning and Maggie Reynolds. The Stags garnered two first-place votes and 70 total points in a congested top-half of the ledger, splitting the #1 position with Monmouth. The Hawks, who will be led by Preseason Player of the Year Nicole Ceraso, earned four first-place votes and matched the Stags' 70 points. Fairfield Women's Lacrosse begins the 2020 campaign on Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium this Saturday, Feb. 8, with a 1 p.m. visit from Holy Cross. The MAAC portion of the slate also begins at home when Quinnipiac comes to Rafferty Stadium on Wednesday, March 25. The top six teams in the MAAC qualify for the 2020 MAAC Championship. The third-seed and fourth-seed will each host a First Round matchup on Saturday, April 25, with the "Final Four" convening at the home field of the top-seeded team beginning on Thursday, April 30 to determine the 2020 MAAC Champion.
