I would agree that Benning should be the Team MVP. The bigger question is if Benning will get an All MAAC Award. I think he could get All MAAC 3rd team. Beating Manhattan twice this year might put him move the edge

I hate to say it, but even though though those of us who watch him perform every game understand his toughness and value to everything the Stags do, unfortunately his statistics at face value may keep him from being picked to any of the teams. Actually I haven't studied all the other players on the other teams too closely in that regard, but I've got to imagine some better numbers, particularly in shooting percentages will work against Taj. Hope I'm wrong and I guess if defense is also a strong point of consideration, maybe he indeed will be honored. I do remember last season that Jonathan Kasibabu couldn't even make it onto any of these teams, and that despite he was picked as 'defensive player of the year' if my memory is correct. So we'll see. But my guess is no, he won't make it.
Following up on Nashville's post I follow the MAAC teams throughout the regular season and have seen all the MAAC /Stag games this year. So here is my forecast for the 3 All-MAAC teams which will probably be announced Monday. Any other predictions out there? Nashville? Reindeerfan? Ist team Pickett Siena Crawford Iona Burns Siena Sulnave Monmouth Kelly Quinnipiac

3rd team Camper Siena Paulicap Manhattan Johnson Canisius Ndefo St. Peters Taliaferro Fairfield
Yes, Taj Benning is my Stag MVP this season but I still feel the coaches will award Landon.
P.S Player of the Year Jalen Pickett Rookie of the Year Aaron Estrada St. Peters
Actually my guess is that Landon, Taj nor any other Stag will make it. And if Landon were in consideration well than maybe Cruz should be too. But individually quite a few from other teams have had better years which is natural considering our offensively challenged lineup. Interesting though that St. Peter's with one of the best records in the league probably will have only one player represented on the three teams with the above mentioned Ndefo on one of the squads. Shows how great a job that Holloway has done in putting together a team where the sum is better than the parts in order to have success. As far as your listings above, those guesses seem pretty good, especially the first team, the MVP and the ROY.

Well, here's the thing. The voters typically place scoring above all else in these selections. Only 2 Stags are in the top 20 in point per game, Landon is 15th and Cruz 20th. Landon is viewed as a bit of a one dimensional player, I don't think he makes it but if he does, 3rd team. Cruz probably doesn't make it and Benning probably doesn't make it because they don't score enough. Interestingly 2nd place Saint peters has no player in the top 30 in points per game (according to ESPN). So there will have to be a few players from St. Pete's making the all conference team for something other than scoring. This will likely push any stag off the list in my view.
There is usually some pressure to get one player from each team on an all-Maac squad but even so I don't see anyone on the All-Maac team. Cruz has the best chance of getting recognition as the 6th man award, he started very few MAAC games and I would think he is the top scorer among non-starters in the conference. I don't see any stags among the contenders for defensive player of the year, in my mind it goes to Paulicap, although I bet Ndefo and Pickney will also receive consideration. I don't think we even have a player on the all-rookie team as that usually come from the Rookies of the week and no Stag is among the 11 players to get Rookie of the week in 2020.
Here's hoping Cruz is 6th man, or we have someone on the all maac third team but I think the Stags could be shut out.
