I would make Washington State the favorite. Why is Detroit on this list?
Probably because its a chance to play with Antoine Davis. He was one of the highest scorers in NCAA in his Frosh (26ppg) and Soph year (24ppg). My Guess is that Ferron Flavors likes to play up-tempo and shoot and score. Also, Flavors is likely to start at Detroit. Not so for the other 4 schools.

And Ensor will probably have Sacred Heart on his radar to add them next to the MAAC (NEC 2.0).
Sacred Hearts RPI was around 100 points better than Fairfiel’s this year. And I believe that the NEC was just behind the MAAC in RPI.
The Pioneers definitely had a better team than the Stags this past season, no doubt (although a source told me we beat them in the "secret scrimmage" for whatever that was worth). Over an extended period of time though, Fairfield has been superior to SHU just like the MAAC to the NEC, but truthfully (just talking hoops and nothing more) there is very little difference between the quality of play between the two entities. We may be playing the Hearts next year and if they hadn't been hurt by a couple of transfers in Anosike and Parker they probably would have been odds-on favorites to beat the Stags for the first time in their history. Not so sure that would be true now (assuming the game is played), but it would make for an interesting story I think.

The high number of transfers today and more so once the new rule is put into place can only be a negative to mid majors. Your going to loose your better players who know your system and have developed some team chemistry. They will be replaced with players that must learn a new system and develop some chemistry with the players that remain. I see that as a constant negative.
As I have stated before, it is my opinion that transfers should have to sit one semester before playing, no exceptions. In addition, 5th year senior transfers IN CONFERENCE should cost a program two scholarships.

Actually his sister (Nicky) played at Tennessee more than a decade ago. One of the best players for the Lady Vols who won a couple of national titles under Pat Summit in 2007 and 2008.
If I were a player transferring after my Junior year and if I were transferring to a school that was not academically near the same level as Fairfield, I would have the credits earned from my new school sent to Fairfield so that the record shows I graduated as a Stag. It is not unusual for a college to accept transfer credits, within reason, from other institutions. Players who transfer should be making judicious choices. When Flavors left after his first year for a school out West , a school that is very average, I thought that his decision was a bad one.
It appears that Methnani will be a graduate transfer, so he will be getting his degree from Fairfield. Good for him.
