Another guy that just entered the portal and JY started following.
4-star recruit... so yeah... from JY's Twitter to God's ears.
* I feel like the Stags might be able to find 32+ mpg for him. Also - going to need some guys like this to compete with Pitino.
Maybe this former Stag could help get this player. They share the same hometown (Plainfield, NJ) ... though the former Stag lives kind of far away now ... like REALLY far away.
Can't help but wonder if this player (Arnaldo Toro) might be a possible target, especially if Eze doesn't get an additional year of eligibility? He would be a grad transfer with immediate eligibility.
He played with Jesus Cruz on the FIBA U17 Puerto Rican team. Big body with decent numbers at George Washington.
I must admit that I didn't watch GW play at all this year nor do I know anything about this player, but looking at the statistics posted here it certainly appears as though he is kind of an exact duplicate of Eze in many ways. Therefore my initial reaction is no, that's not who we should be looking for if we're trying to get better. Let's put it this way, it's way too early to 'settle' for just average transfers, especially since everything is on hold at the moment.
Report: Pitt Assistant Tim O’Toole Candidate for Fordham Head Coach Job
O’Toole has both head coaching experience and New York connections. O’Toole, 56, is a White Plains, New York native, played his college basketball at Fairfield, and was an assistant at Fordham, Army, Iona, Syracuse and Seton Hall and the head coach at Fairfield from the late 1980s to 2006......
Tim O'Toole '87 was the head coach of the Stags from 1998 to 2006 where he compiled a 112–120 record (.482). He was named the MAAC Coach of the Year in 2004.
Adam Zagoria @adamzagoria Source says the Fordham coaching change could happen as soon as today or possibly Monday

Why would you announce late on a Friday afternoon? That is when bad news gets reported, not good news. No one is paying attention.

Hypothetically, Fordham would've been an interesting landing spot for Pitino. I'd like to think Fordham wouldn't have gone down that road, but they desperately need a major spark to get that program back on track.
I would think Langel and Neptune are the leading candidates if the list of candidates is accurate? Langel has recent success at Colgate a high academic school in the Patriot league. Not sure if that success translates into the highly competitive A-10. Neptune has the pedigree of being at Villanova currently and that is plus on his resume. Grasso was known to be an excellent recruiter at Iona. However Iona takes in any bandits, while Fordham will not. I do not believe the others are finalists , but good luck to TOT.
Jeff Otchere, 6-11 240 Center who was the Defensive Player of the year in 2018-2019 for Stony Brook. Grad transfer with one year left. Could help us on the inside. Not our scoring big but would undoubtedly be a force defensively. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4396585/jeff-otchere
Travis Evee, 6-0 165 Point Guard who can score. Would have to sit pending NCAA review of the one time transfer rule but has 3 years left. Great 3 point shooter and distributor. New England roots could maybe get him to Fairfield but some impressive stats. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4593712/travis-evee
Here is how I would like to fill our last 4 spots: - Transfer Big man who can play next year - Freshman Big man who has size and we can groom to play in the post - Point Guard or Shooting Guard who can score immediately through transfer or HS - Athletic Wing who can complement a point guard who give him the ball on cutting/slashing
Evee commits to Rice. Interesting because they just got a commitment from Noah Hutchins who is a highly-rated PG.
Well unless the transfers become immediately available (Wojcik), I feel like we are still short a dynamic scorer. We are going to be asking for a lot of scoring from Cruz, Greene and Chef.
Our first choice needs to be another multi-talented guard .... Just like Jalen Leach. Someone who was close to scoring 24ppg, 5 assists, 7 Rebs this past season.
We are loaded with forwards, so my second choice would be a center. 6-9, 250lbs
