The Fairfield University Women's Basketball senior class of Sam Kramer, Nicole Bus, and graduate student Kendra Landy were all named to the 2020 MAAC All-Championship Team, which was announced today. The MAAC recognized the seniors of all 11 institutions after the 2020 MAAC Basketball Championship was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Stags advanced to the MAAC Semifinals before the tournament was canceled after a resounding 72-56 win over sixth-seeded Siena. Sam Kramer was one of four Stags in double figures as she finished with 10 points and six assists while going 2-for-4 from behind the arc. Kramer finished her career with 309 career assists and 146 3-pointers, the eighth most in program history.
After five years, Kendra Landy appeared in her final game as a Stag as she recorded two assists and four points in the victory. One of the team's tri-captains, Landy finished her Fairfield career with 292 assists in 123 games as a Stag.
Bus did not appear in the Quarterfinals victory but spent four years as a dedicated member of the team, earning her first career start on Senior Day in early March.
"This is a great tribute to a group of seniors who have meant a lot to our program and the university," Head Coach Joe Frager said. "It was a surreal ending to our season and this is a fitting gesture on behalf of the MAAC."
