Ella Gardiner, San Clemente High School The athletic Gardiner helped the Tritons dethrone Aliso Niguel for their first South Coast League title since 2015 and reach their first CIF-SS final since 2007. San Clemente also advanced to the Division 2 semifinals in the CIF State SoCal regionals. Gardiner earned South Coast League MVP, averaging 16.4 points and 12.4 rebounds for the Division 2A runner-up. The 6-foot-1 Gardiner also was a valuable ball-handler against the press, averaging 3.3 assists.
