Former Fairfield Prep star is transferring after two years at Bryant. Not much of a scorer, but OTOH he is a rebounding machine, at least at the NEC level. Is it possible the Stags could be interested in him as a solid backup post, especially if Eze isn't returning?
2019-20 (Sophomore) Appeared in all 32 games, starting 11 … Averaged 4.7 points per game while ranking third in the NEC with 8.8 rebounds per game … D1 single-season program records of 280 total rebounds and 186 defensive rebounds.
Averaging 4.7ppg in only 18.8 mpg in not that bad, especially when you can get 8.8rpg. He had some huge rebounding games last year..... 11 double figure rebound games, with a high of 19boards
The stat I would worry about is that his FT% is 40.5 this past year and 36.4 two years ago.

I know what the stats say, but quite frankly I think they're a little misleading in a way. Not really enough of a sample either year (in the 30s as far as attempts each season). Actually though my real reason for this feeling is that while he was not exactly a good FT shooter in high school at Prep, he was decent as far as I remember. Maybe around 60% or so when he got to the line a lot. But if you were going to depend on him scoring a lot from the line, the fact that he is not proficient there would be a concern. Thing is though, I don't think he would be a go to player if he was ever a Stag (he wasn't at Bryant BTW). But what he was there was a "garbage man" type who was able to score off of put-backs and dunks off passes, and he did that at a rate of about 60%, so that's a good thing. And another positive about him is that, for a big man, he is a very good passer, sometimes something that is overlooked in people his size. Sum total (from experience watching him play quite a bit over the years) is that he would not be a guy who would bring the Stags to a new level as a star player. But OTOH you can do a lot worse then a guy like him if he played the role of a 15 to 20 minute backup center who was willing to mix it up in the post in order to help win games. So is he worth the effort to try to get him to transfer to Fairfield? That would be a tough call IMO.

Very interesting. Transferring to Ivy. Am I correct, sit one to play one? Then would have to transfer for his 4th year?
Good question and one I didn't consider based on the Ivy League rule that (I think) says you have to complete your eligibility in four years. From first glance this looks like a move more for the extra education rather than instant basketball success. If my memory is correct I do seem to remember that at one time in the college recruiting process Patrick was being mentioned as having interest in possibly going to Army West-Point. Certainly that shows that he has a lot more on his mind than just performing well on the court.
