Looks like Jay started to follow on Twitter (no offer yet but is gaining interest from a lot of schools) Avery Brown, 6'3 PG class of 2022 at Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) where Calvin went.

He did indeed play one year at Prep as a freshman. I loved his game then and predicted he had a great future, therefore I was disappointed to see him leave. Not having witnessed him playing after that, I'm glad to see that he obviously has been improving year by year and is being recruited at the D-1 level. Future Stag? That might be nice!

Avery Brown is currently ranked as the 4th best in Massachusetts and 9th best in New England (NERR), class of 2022. I think that means he has reclassified to get a 5th year (like so many do nowadays) because I believe he played at Prep in 2017-18 as a freshman.
Some words of praise for Brown's play in a New England Recruiting Report article on a summer basketball event in Waterbury last July:
Avery Brown, Northfield Mount Hermon - A long and athletic guard who is reclassifying to 2022, Brown has improved both his shot-making and decision-making in the last year. He was definitely knocking down shots with more frequency this week while showing his normal playmaking ability.
The sophomore guard has picked up offers from Towson, Siena, Fairfield, South Dakota and Howard recently to add to scholarship offers from Penn and Brown.
Avery Brown recently picked up an offer from St. John’s and has been “hearing from” Georgia, Ohio State, Kansas State, Providence and others. I hope we’re still in the mix but if any of those schools do offer would assume we’ll have a tough time competing. He would be a great get and maybe the Fairfield Prep connection will help us.

I sure hope so. Come home Avery! That should be the pitch.

And the pitch just got harder to execute. Indiana just made an offer to Avery.
Let’s be realistic on this one, do not waste your time and recruiting $$$ . This guy is out of FF reach. The stags are only a recruiting footnote on his list of suitor schools.
A lot of kids "hear from" big schools and even get offers. Very few kids sign with big schools. It's the coach's job to allocate recruiting resources effectively.
I don't think the stalled arena plans are going to be too helpful for recruiting - but there is a lot going on. Who knows how all of this is going to shakeout.
