My guess would be that it's still very uncommon for a MAAC player to get drafted by the WNBA and further rare to actually make a team. I was surprised that the Rider release did not mention how many MAAC players had been drafted by the WNBA.

Wow look at this. In the #5 spot, first round, a player from Princeton! A school not much more than 10 miles away from Rider ironically. Also of note, in the third round #33, a selection from Holy Cross. Guess the possibilities of lower-level division players getting drafted is quite a bit better with the women than it is with the men.
