Five former Fairfield University Women's Basketball student-athletes were honored among the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's all-time best as the group was joined by former Head Coach Dianne Nolan on the MAAC's 40th anniversary team announced today. The program's all-time leading scorer Gail (Cheney) Strumpf '01 was joined by Tricia (Fabbri) Sacca 91, Lisa Mikelic '91, Katrina Fields '85, and Jessica Grossarth '88 on the conference's all-time team. Additionally, former Head Coach Dianne Nolan was one of just three coaches named to the squad. Dianne Nolan 1979-2007Nolan was one of the pioneers of the Fairfield Women's Basketball program, serving as head coach for nearly 30 years. She won 456 games during that tenure and led the Stags to three MAAC Championships and the program's first-ever at-large bid in 2001. The Stags became the first team in the conference to make an at-large appearance. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) celebrates its 40th Anniversary throughout the 2020-21 academic year, continuing its mission to provide student-athletes the opportunity to succeed in both academics and athletics. The 40th Anniversary Women’s Basketball Team highlights some of the best student-athletes in MAAC history. MAAC Women’s basketball traces back to 1982, when Saint Peter’s defeated Army at the Meadowlands Arena for the first ever conference championship. Since, Marist leads the conference with 14 MAAC title appearances and 10 championships overall, followed by Saint Peter’s with nine titles and Manhattan College and Quinnipiac University with four. She also ranks second with 1,106 rebounds. She was a three-time All-MAAC First Team selection and the Player of the Year in 2000. She led the Stags to the MAAC title in 1998 and the first at-large bid in program history in 2001. It should be noted that not only did Tricia (Fabbri) Sacca make the 40th anniversary team as a FF player, but also as Q's coach.
What Tricia (Fabbri) Sacca has accomplished in the MAAC as player and coach is unparalleled.

Coach Tricia FabbriThe all-time winningest coach in Quinnipiac women’s basketball history, Tricia Fabbri, recently completed her 25th season on the Bobcats’ sideline in 2019-20 and raised her career total to 448 victories. Since joining the MAAC in 2013-14, Fabbri’s Bobcats have won four MAAC titles, three NCAA Tournament games, and posted an overall record of 109-21 in MAAC competition. Fabbri led her team to a MAAC record 52-straight conference victories and has been unbeaten in conference play three times since joining the league. Tricia (Fabbri) Sacca 1987-1991Sacca-Fabbri was an important building block in the Stags' two MAAC Championship runs in the late 80s as she finished with 1,622 points and 1,037 rebounds in her career, just one of four Stags with over 1,000 career points and rebounds. She was named to three All-MAAC First Teams in her career and was a hard-nosed leader during those two title runs. She remains in the top-five in program history in four categories including: points, rebounds, field goal percentage (.537), and free throws made (404).
