Former Stag (2017-2018, but never played in a game) Alonde LeGrand, who has since been at State Fair Community College, Detroit-Mercy and North Florida, is in the transfer portal again: www.verbalcommits.com/players/alonde-legrand
He's already been at 4 schools, and still has 2 years of eligibility left. Potentially on the 6-year plan.

There are 379 players in the transfer portal as of mid-day today, March 12, with a significant number of teams still playing. The closest day I have data to compare it to last year was 385 on March 20th, 2020.
UT Martin has had 11 kids enter the portal this year, Wisconsin-Green Bay 9, Jacksonville 8...

You need an ESPN+ subscription to see the full list, but some notables from ESPN's College basketball transfer rankings for 2021-22 (as of March 12):
new school in [] where applicable #6 Paul Atkinson, Yale [Notre Dame] #10 Wynston Tabbs, BC [East Carolina] #15 Rich Kelly, BC #21 Austin Butler, Holy Cross #25 Chris Knight Dartmouth [Loyola-Chi] #27 Jahlil Jenkins, FDU #28 E.J. Stephens, Lafayette
Lots of discussion about potential transfers into the stags program. How about some discussion on possible TRANSFERS OUT other then the recent Calvin Whipple transfer? With the Calvin transfer and the recent comitt of TJ Long the stags are fully booked. The stags have 15 players on scholarship assuming that Benning and Cruz return ( Covid exemption) with scholarships. The stags still need to find the one or more significant player(s) in the transfer portal that many posters believe can be the difference maker next season! JY needs to have some difficult discussions with several marginal players on the roster who are on scholarship in order to make room under the scholarship cap for that difference maker player. My suggestions would be John Kelly and Cheff Ngalagulondi. Both players have been with the stags for two years either as a walk-0n last year in Kelly’s case or ineligible because of the old transfer rule in the case of Cheff. The coaches should be well aware of both players abilities and can make the proper decisions about the future of each players scholarship.

I never like to comment about the idea of someone who might leave or should leave the program. I want all our players to stay and have success at Fairfield. A good coach develops players and I expect everyone we have to develop.
That said, I think its hard for me to have an opinion on Kelly. I saw his brother play in high school. Didn't think he was a division 1 talent. By the way neither did anyone else as I don't think he got any offers out of high school. And look at the level he has became. Could John improve to become the same level as Rich? I don't think so but at the same time, I've never seen him for one minute in practice so I don't know how much he has progressed already. So I can't say if he will ever play much at Fairfield and its something I need to leave to he and others to evaluate.
The situation with Chef is real head scratcher. I expected him to be much more of an impact player than Jason or Supreme but he seems to be behind them right now. Based on what he did this season, I can't think he's going to play that much. We've seen enough of him to have more of an opinion. I hate to see a kid spend his senior season on the sideline. So it might be in his best interest to go. But based on what he did for the bonnie's I'm not sure I would give up on the idea that he could contribute. Another summer of practices, more time in the weight room. These kids get better. I understand why chef might like to go to a school where he is guaranteed to play. I would. But I would not assume if he stays that he won't contribute.

Kevin Marfo (grad transfer), a kid we had interest in way back when (he graduated HS in 2016), but went to GW, Quinnipiac, and Texas A&M last year where he didn't do much. I highly, highly doubt he'd end up at FU for a variety of reasons, but he averaged 10.2 ppg / 13.3 rpg two years ago at Q so he'd be a good front court get for a mid-major.
A 6-2 PG, Akot chose Quinnipiac but barely played. He received offers from Rutgers, St. Bonaventure, Fairfield and Siena, among others. With Cevis coming in and Green coming back, Fairfield does not need him now. But I was disappointed at the time to lose him to Q.
