Why wouldn't you want to maintain the interest in the progress of the work? This is a fund raisers dream--ENGAGEMENT!!!
Obviously the camera is mounted. Just turn it on. Especially since campus access is restricted.
Who is leading the friends of FU basketball these days? Maybe that's our voice.
Then there are those of us who are so excited about this project that we are willing watch paint dry (or grass grow) a few times a week to watch it happen.
These guys never cease to amaze. As I remember we did have a 24/7 CAM for previous projects.
I think the answer to my initial question is obvious.

Here is this morning's view (9:30am) of Alumni Hall from my office in Canisius Hall.
If a faculty member at the University, thanks to eileenw, can post the latest updated picture of the progress of the demolition of Alumni Hall from her office window in Canisius then why aren't the professionals at the University at least be doing the same? It's called communication, engagement and re-engagement with our fellow alumni, Stag fans, season ticket holders, donors and the local community. I guess it's just not that important or too difficult for them to do. Sad but not surprising.
The above photo clearly clarifies the question from the other thread as to why you can't knock down the building immediately with an explosive implosion ala some of the stadiums etc.

I don't mind the F logo. It is distinctive and stands out. Maybe reduce the size as it looks kind of goofy on the baseball team hats. I just don't like the use of the same logo script for the full Fairfield and Stags names on the uniforms. I would much rather they keep the F logo and starting using a less busy script when spelling out Fairfield and Stags similar to Georgetown.

I prefer what Gonzaga does at their McCarthey Arena and not with just a big G but with their Bulldog logo too. As alumni, we are proud to be the Fairfield "Stags".
Even D. Nemec's alma mater, Yale University, has a bulldog logo and not just a big Y at their Payne Whitney Gym.
Fordham's Rose Hill Gym doesn't have just a big marron F at center court. It's all about the optics and visuals on ESPN and in the media or at least it should be to those in charge at the University.
IMO, this is what should be at center court of the new Convocation Center and not just a red F:

I am ok with F and Stag. Not a fan at all of the stag with Fairfield University. To me its the same as Gonzaga's logo and is too busy.
I like the Stag plus Fairfield University as shown in the last picture FU73 posted. Not too long ago courts had minimalist midcourt decoration. Everything had to fit within the center jump circle. That's changed and now there's no limit to how far above and beyond the design could go. So why limit ourselves to just the letter F when we could spell out the whole name of the school with the mascot? Who knows, it may be just enough to attract that 6'8" triple double machine who sees our court while game surfing on ESPN+.
I think you write the whole thing, but doubt that happens. Seems like a real push just for the F or Stag & F.
If we are truly talking about a convocation center, there will be tons of different events at the building. Why wouldn’t you especially in today’s TV world, have the Stag & Fairfield University to constantly advertise the school NATIONALLY?!

As we all know by this point, logic doesn't always win out in these decisions.
One of many examples: We allow our Men's and Women's basketball NCAA and NIT appearance banners to be hung at WBA at the end of the arena that is hidden behind the curtain. So those going to the WBA for a Sound Tiger or SHU hockey game can see them, but those going to a Fairfield basketball game cannot.
This might be a dumb question but does anyone know if there will be permanent volleyball lines on the court at the new convocation center since its a shared facility?
Actually a very good question about the volley ball lines. I am trying to picture the AH floor in my mind and to see if their are v-ball lines on the floor during hoop season? I think not, but I am not sure. Does anyone remember?

Yes, they were permanent on the court as was the High School 3 point line. Blurry clip but they are there. A very busy floor.
