Fairfield University Women's Basketball junior Lou Lopez-Senechal was named to the All-Metropolitan First Team as selected by the Met Basketball Writer's Association. Lopez-Senechal was one of two MAAC Players selected to the First Team and one of four conference players selected All-Met. "I am so happy for Lou," Head Coach Joe Frager said. "It is a great honor to be named First Team All-Met. She deserved it and I'm extremely proud of her."The only unanimous All-MAAC First Team selection, Lopez-Senechal led the Stags and finished second in the conference with a 16.9 scoring average. She connected on 42 percent of her shots from the floor and 41 percent of her attempts from long range, the 36th best number in the country. She was the go-to player for the Stags as she finished with over 20 points in seven contests. She also finished in double figures in 15 of the 16 games that she played. Lopez-Senechal becomes the first Stag since Stephanie Geehan in 2010 to be named to the All-Met First Team. She also becomes the 20th Stag to be named All-Met overall. maacsports.com/news/2021/4/27/womens-basketball-fairfields-lopez-senechal-named-to-all-met-first-team.aspx
