Kelly Horning was named the MAAC Midfielder of the Year and Maggie Reynolds was selected as MAAC Defensive Player of the Year to highlight the awards garnered by Fairfield University Women's Lacrosse on Thursday as the MAAC announced their year-end plaudits. Horning, Reynolds and Meaghan Graham were all tabbed to the All-MAAC First Team. Caroline Mangan earned a place on the All-MAAC Second Team after starting all 11 games for the Stags' stingy defensive unit. She has corralled 12 ground balls with 10 caused turnovers. Mangan was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team in 2019. Rounding out Fairfield's honorees, a trio of newcomers was selected to the MAAC All-Rookie Team. Rylee Harrell appeared in six games in the midfield, filling out her statline with two goals, an assist, seven ground balls, four caused turnovers and 14 draw controls. Brooke Lennon scored 10 goals with five assists to earn her place on the All-Rookie Team, and Phoebe Proctor appeared in the cage for 129 minutes over four games, posting a .510 save percentage with 25 stops and 24 goals allowed. maacsports.com/news/2021/4/29/2021-maac-womens-lacrosse-major-awards-and-all-maac-teams-announced.aspx
