Engineering magazines from the time noted that the eleven 160-foot pre-cast arches used in the building’s construction were a record in the United States. Did you know that Alumni Hall originally had a dividing wall separating it into two sections?
'10, I was thinking the same thing. So i sent a private message to JOESTAG the site adminstrator asking him if he knows how it can be done so the thread stays at the top!
Just curious, looking at the Cam, anyone know why the time posted is 4 hours ahead of EDT?
Love to see cement trucks, pour baby, pour!
The construction cam on a project that I was involved with previously ran on Greenwich mean time (GMT) which is four hours ahead of EDT. I am guessing that is the case with the convocation center camera.
I think our completion timetable might be challenged and hope our budget will not be strained as well.
Had a discussion with some folks close to the owners of a local business that was completely destroyed by fire and needed to be rebuilt. Their dilemma was the shortage of steel that could delay their project by as much as 18 months. The other variable was cost due to short supply.
I hope we will not be a victim of these circumstances.
Moving right along 👀 Our Arena and Convocation Center will be home to our basketball and volleyball teams, and house concerts and larger on-campus events. What are you most excited for?
Not sure why the administration put the construction camera on the upper deck of the Kelly Center parking by lot rather then on the campus center next door ? Currently the full view from the camera of the construction progress is blocked by a large dirt pile and several large trees. Perhaps the view will improve when the leaves fall f try I’m the trees in the fall. But isn’t so typical of FF to do a half baked job!
