I was wondering...... will the bigspaces between the lower and upper rows of seating(in the picture looks like square openings) be for "box seats"? looks like they go all the way around. Perfect places for extra people to sit.
Naples, I do not think the areas u mentioned will be boxes for seating based on the “ fly thru” video that was produced for the CC center previously. I believe the area u mentioned is the the circulation concourse allowing people to walk to a stairway down to the playing surface and the seats on the lower bowl.

Maybe the architect from Centerbrook could enlighten us. Is there anyway to contact them? If you can get me a name and number I can contact them myself

Yes, agree those light blue (could actually be grey at a different angle) are flooring panels that make up concourse around the first level. You can see the beams are in position for the flooring to be installed as it makes the turn north past the end zone by the Rec Plex. Haven't been to the new Yankee Stadium but think Citi Field. You can walk around the entire first level open concourse and walk down into any lower section.
On campus for VB today and my first look at the CC construction live. The current camera does not even come close to showing how massive this building is and will dominate the campus. One word to describe it: IMPRESSIVE 10/2/2021 Convocation Center Photos

I selfishly wish that Gilbane would have the facility named after them, "The Gilbane Forum", as they have built many projects on our campus. It would be a showplace for their workmanship and a further committment to Fairfield County. As an aside, I have NO connection with Gilbane or anyone directly or indirectly connected to the building. Just a cool name I think.
paulie, Great photos and better than anything that the University has released so far. How hard would it be for someone at the University to do the same thing or at least add another two cameras? Apparently very hard but somehow a fellow alum can do it while visiting our campus. Thanks paulie.
I'll say up front I know next to nothing about process with construction projects.
Seems like little to nothing going on this week per the Earth Cam Photos.
Do the construction crews not do any work in the rain?
It is difficult to see but from first light there are workers out there every day but Sunday. I was on campus on Saturday and there were steelworkers there till at least 2 PM.
Today they were guys climbing ladders leaning against the vertical beams.
I seems just the opposite to me. They appear to be making great progress IMO, who also knows nothing about construction.
But, the question can be asked at the B-ball fundraiser Thursday night.

Tough to see but they are on the job. The structure is much bigger than it appears on camera an it is tough, depending on the light, to see the people who look like specs next to the huge steel work.
