What is Currier doing? He has a terrific closer in Cafaro.

Sansone was #1 pitcher all year; despite what the dopey announcers were saying, Cafaro was MAAC relief pitcher of the year, but was not the closer. Oliphant and Grabek saved more games. He went down with his best; brutal loss, but I have no problem with the pitching decision

2 bad calls that they looked at and should have overturned- the HBP and the bad call earlier on the double play-cost a run.

Not making a change IMO is unforgivable.

Gotta throw your #4 starter against Southern tomorrow. If you can't beat them with that, you shouldn't be there.
Save Noviello for loser of UT/ASU.

Tough call. But I probably would have taken Sansone out after 1 run. But that is second guessing on my part.

74, Correct, he was a starter who is used to pitching 7 innings. Only threw 48 pitches; I don't think he was tiring in his 2nd inning. PAC 12 team just got to him. I still say I have no problem going with your best.

Credit to ASU for coming back, especially the kid that got the first hit in the 9th. He was down 2 strikes and Sansone put that fastball in a spot I would’ve bet was either a swing and miss or pop up - but the ASU hitter got on top of it and line it to center to start things.

Never been more pissed off watching a Stag event. Best closer in the league and he stays on the bench, Currier choked big time. Real poor, Sansone was out of gas. This is Stags sports. Never win a big game. Inept coaching.

I think he goes with Noviello, you worry about Sunday after tomorrow. 4th starter is Signore, who for all his history, has been very unreliable his last 3 starts, including the Rider game last week. Have to win tomorrow

Have to win tomorrow I agree. Let’s go for a win with our best and then hope for a bullpen win (nobody pitches more than once through the lineup) vs. whomever in the next elimination game. If it’s ASU, again, they will probably be pretty thin on pitching... assuming their #1 pitches vs. Texas.

Can you challenge plays in NCAA Baseball? If so, these plays should have been challenged. Just today’s game. Frustrating.
