Tyler will be returning to the Rostock Seawolves for another season of basketball this coming winter. In the meantime of course, don't forget tomorrow evening at 6:00PM on ESPN2 when his Nerd Team competes against a squad of (mostly) former University of Buffalo players in the TBT tournament.

Nelson has been having a great year so far with approximately 40% of the season completed. It is interesting that in his league, teams only play about one game a week (sort of like the NFL), so even though 13 games are in the books, Rostock still has over 20 contests to play, and they won't be done with the regular season until mid April. Anyway, although he is only getting about 19 minutes per game on the court as a lot of the players share minutes, he is currently leading the team in scoring at nearly 15 PPG. This is extremely efficient as is his 3-point percentage of over 46% and free throw mark of over 87%. And at 11-2 and currently on a 10 game winning streak, I'm sure Tyler is having a great time in his second year playing in Germany! Nice to see.
Actually if you click on the link three spots above as posted by Jennings, every game he has played this season is available on replay. Tyler recently had the most points he has ever had as a professional when he scored 32 in a game a couple of weeks ago.

Saw this tweet from former assistant coach Tyson Wheeler and I’m not seeing the comparison he is.
Do others think Bueckers and Tyler have exactly the same game? If so, can you explain the similarities.
Well first of all if Tyson Wheeler suggests something like that I think you'd have to at least consider the validity of his words. I think he is suggesting the way that both tend to play the game in this way: while Beuckers dominates the ball a little more in a basic half-court offense, the fact is both are great at shooting, moving without the ball while coming off screens, making the correct passes and also playing intelligently in relation to team movement. As far as comparing them and their value, obviously Paige is one of the great collegiate woman players at the present time and probably will be a star in the WNBA for many years after, while Nelson, no matter how well he performs, probably will never be an NBA player based mostly on athletic make-up. Hard to compare the men and the women though. But speaking of Tyler, at least in HIS competition (German Pro A, considered their 2nd best league) he has upped his game in the last month or so. Since the beginning of March in the last seven games he has played, he is averaging better than 23 PPG. Indeed he has become a real star in that league which is great to see!
Yeah this clutch circus shot with time running out capitulates Tyler's Rostock team to the league finals beginning next week against the number one regular season squad (Rostock finished 2nd) in what should be a tough assignment based on the two times they have played each other, the results not being favorable to the Seawolves. What's unclear to me however is that despite what one tweet suggests, another mentions that you have to win the championship in order to be relegated up for next year. Certainly coming out on top would settle all doubts obviously. Anyway back to the video displayed, what isn't shown here was the tough 2 point shot Tyler made just 20 seconds before to tie the contest. Quite a finish to this semi-final game as you can see from the reaction of the players and the Rostock fans.
Also as a side note, it looks like Tyler will be back again with The Nerd Team in TBT this summer.

Rostock won the championship led by Nelson scoring 17 and 19 points in the finals. Just a great season for him as he ended up averaging almost 17PPG for the year while only playing about 21 minutes a game. Over 46% from the arc and 89.5% from the free throw line certainly helped prove how efficient he is. Well done and congratulations Tyler!
