I haven’t seen Athlon yet but the tweet below is what someone claims Athlon’s predicted MAAC standings are.
For my friends who follows the MAAC, Athlon Sports predicts 1. Iona (shocker), 2. Marist, 3. Fairfield, 4. Quinnipiac, 5. Niagara, 6. Saint Peter's, 7. Monmouth, 8. Siena, 9. Manhattan, 10. Canisius, 11. Rider
No idea how the writer of the article came up with this predicted order. Seems to me Monmouth and Rider are two teams that are predicted much lower than they’ll end up.

Looks like St. Peter's might be moving up (and they have yet to play a game). Reports are that K.C. Ndefo will be returning to the Peacocks despite assertions to the contrary this off season. Huge MAAC news that might affect the league standings as well as the overall records of some of the teams (including the Stags). We did beat them two out of three last season even with him however. Anyway if nothing else this makes the league stronger, and that has to be a good thing if you care about that type of thing.
This is interesting.....Former SG Andrew Platek has transferred to Siena #TarHeelNation! Before going any further —- the predicted order and article are attributed to Brian Lester. Googling Brian Lester-sportswriter comes up with a sportswriter in Pensacola Florida.

The BlueRibbon digital edition is now available. Their MAAC preview is attributed to William Paxton, Ryan Peters, and Ryan Restivo. Their predicted MAAC standings are: 1.Iona 2.SPU 3.Monmouth 4.Manhattan 5.Fairfield 6.Rider 7.Marist 8.Siena 9.Quinny 10.Niagara 11.Canisius
Not magazines but two websites have chimed in on preseason predictions for the MAAC. Matt Norlander of cbssports.com has published his complete 1-358 listing of all D1 teams and Bart Torvik also has his MAAC predictions. For Norlander, I've taken where he placed each MAAC team in his overall ranking as their likely place in the final standings. In the overall rankings Norlander had Iona at 139 as the best in the MAAC and Marist at 314 as the lowest ranked MAAC team. Directly beneath Norlander and Torvik, I'm placing the Athlon, Lindys, and Blue Ribbon predictions so at one glance you can easily see the lack of any consensus about 2nd through 11th place for the MAAC this season.
Skipping Iona since everyone picks them for 1st, here's the high and low prediction for the other 10 MAAC teams from these 5 sources.
Fairfield...3rd to 9th SPU.........2nd to 9th Siena.......2nd to 10th Marist......2nd to 11th Monmouth....3rd to 11th Manhattan...4th to 10th QU..........4th to 9th Rider.......5th to 11th Niagara.....5th to 10th Canisius....5th to 11th
Interesting way to look at it, tks for the effort. The "lack of any consensus" is an understatement. I think my consensus is that most of these polls and predictions lack any real in-depth analysis, research and knowledge of the respective teams and conferences (at least the low to mid-majors).

I think you're right. Just a guessing game for sure. However the one place that always offers analysis ( maybe too much analysis sometimes) is the Three Man Weave site which is currently in the process of coming out with all their thoughts on every D1 league in the nation. The MAAC is not up yet but is due any day now. What they say, whether it proves to be true or totally irrelevant, at least has some thought (a LOT of thought) behind it. Like I say, any day now for their predictions.
The only team that Pomeroy has outside the range of the five predictions listed above is Niagara. Pomeroy has them 3rd while the highest they had been rated by the other 5 sources was 5th.
Pomeroy is predicting a 15-16 season for us, going 10-10 in MAAC play. And he does have Sacred Heart beating us by 2 on November 20th with a predicted final score of 72-70.
Not a preseason magazine, but a Post article where Young states Cook has gotten stronger in the offseason and is continuing that improvement in preseason practices.

So Supreme is stronger and better. He really can be a beast come conference play. Great test for him against that good PC big. It’s a far different Supreme than started the season for us last year without even a full week of practice.
