Bill Paxton's postgame article in the CT POST: BRIDGEPORT -- With their shots not falling and the ball slipping through their fingers, the Fairfield Stags could have easily packed it in at halftime Friday night. Instead, the Stags relied on what they do best -- play defense -- in the second half to grind out a 54-52 exhibition victory over the University of Bridgeport in front of 1,393 fans at the Webster Bank Arena......Read more: www.ctpost.com/sports/article/Stags-escape-with-victory-over-UB-4004845.php#ixzz2BA3YzsY5

Needham, Wade and Nickerson combine for a 6-24 shooting night. Great pressure makes by wade and Needham in the final minutes but we are not going to beat any division 1 teams with that kind of shooting. We need to get more from our seniors.
I think the Central game is very important because it is our most realistic chance to win a game in the early season. I hope we come ready to play. We didn't in this game.

Ugh. I know it's only an exhibition and we lost to UB with Cooley a few years back, but this team is just not that good. There is not 1 legit scorer in this group. Granted, Needham can score and Wade will have a huge game or two, but WOW I think we are in for some trouble. I truly hope I'm wrong guys. Just don't see it when we start playing for real. Buckle up for a bumpy ride!!!
