Tyler Nelson will be playing for The Nerd Team in this summer’s TBT.

Lots of former Yale players on the team (Swain, Atkinson, Bruner and Sherrod). They are in the Syracuse regional with their first game on July 22nd against Brown & White, a St. Bonaventure alum team.

Game time 5:00 PM. Hopefully national TV such as was the case last year. And hopefully a win this time which would probably mean a match-up with the defending champions and always loaded Boeheim's Army squad in the next round.

game is this coming friday at 5 - odd that they have such a gap for the opening round - did watch a little of the St Peter's alumni game from rucker park (love the outdoor game) - SPU lost 69-68

Curtis Cobb played for YGC and they won their first game but came up short in the second one.

Looking good for the Nerd-up 17 after 3. Would have been great if Needham and Friday Beers held on - Needham vs Nelson would have been fun.

Hah! Nelson banks in the game-winning 3P. They almost choked away a big lead, but got it done. A lot of intensity down the stretch.

Nerds will play Blue Collar U (mainly University of Buffalo alumni) at 7 pm on Monday in the championship game of the Syracuse regional in the TBT. The game will be on espn2.
