Comfortable win that was never in doubt. Brown with a stellar game along with McGruder. Lots of contributors.

Another nice win by a boat load of points. I just love how the ball often just never touches the ground in the half court offense and the passing leads to a back cut and a score. Kinda expected to beat Marist, a team with only five wins. These wins against a weak team are nice record stuffers. However, MAAC wins will not get FF into the AP top 25.

Different ranking systems with different criteria. If the Stags keep winning, a spot in the AP25 will open up. I see it as leaning a little more towards rewarding success vs. an effort to be objectively perfect in ranking the best basketball teams.
My very amateur evaluation is that the Stags probably need just a bit more athleticism and size under the basket to be a "true" Top 25 team. But - they might be around 50 and, outside of the very top teams with the unicorn players, could defeat some AP25 teams.

Agreed, they have a 3-4 games towards the end that they need to win, and it will hopefully get them ready for the tourney. I found it interesting that on the league strength of schedule info sent out that the Coastal league (that we are supposedly looking at) is only 2-3 notches higher than the MAAC.

Listed attendance of 1891 is the highest for the season, both home and away. Will be interesting to see what the attendance is Saturday when it’s not Kids Day and there isn’t free admission.

Yeah agree more size underneath will be a drawback when and if FF gets to the NCAA tournament. Fischer at around 6’-2” provides some size but she is a Frosh and really is not all that athletic. Some of the MAAC teams like Niagara,Canisius and now Marist have some sizable bigs. But the bigs are heavy , slow and not athletic. The stags quickness at the guards can overcome the size easily. May not be the case in the NCAA tournament. However, as coach Carly says one win at a time.

Agree on Fischer, Anderson needs a solid big with her and Selimovic (only 5'10 herself)

Agree on Fischer, Anderson needs a solid big with her and Selimovic (only 5'10 herself) Shazer is similar to Anderson, Seleko from Canisius is pretty slow, Siena may have some bigs that give us issues next time we play. Our guards do a great job rebounding, Brown, Lamoreux, Iza all get a good amount of rebounds for guards.

These are good conversations to have... oh no... what might hold them back from the level of a Sweet 16 team? 😂
