Rider's overall record of 8-14 is a little bit deceiving considering their OOC schedule included the likes of Marquette, Nebraska, Penn State, Duquesne and Delaware, certainly an atypical set-up for a MAAC program. And yes the Stags upset them in early December when we were in desperate need of a win to kick-start our season. But since then the Broncs have been decent in the league, especially lately where they have won three of their last four that includes a tough 1 point loss to Iona. So despite the records comparison between the two teams this one will not be easy, especially since in Sr. Mervin James who averages over 19 PPG and is a sure-fire first team all-leaguer, they will be dangerous. The Stags need to play to a high level to come out on top tonight.
Lack of a front court will hurt us today. Rider has a bunch of bangers that will be difficult to contain. Any ETA on the likes of Bleechmore, Smith and of course Yetna?
Yetna looks rusty but that's to be expected. Thrilled to see him out there. I missed the first 4 minutes. Is Goodine just day to day or should we be concerned about him beyond this weekend?
Great win as far as I am concerned. This was a TRAP game and we have injuries. And Yetna returned and actually played significant minutes. Btw, very happy to see Bleechmore back as well. If we can get stronger into the final part of the season, could get exciting! Hopeful. Praying.
I marvel at Louis Bleechmore's ability to get under his opponent's skin. I don't think this is the first game that he thoroughly antagonized his defender/opponent defending him.
