Looks as if we get Iona in the quarterfinals and Marist/Niagara in the semis. Quinnipiac has to deal with MSM/Canisius, then Rider/St. Peter's on the other side of the bracket.

Canisius going into the tourney on a high as Dinkins hits a half court shot in overtime to beat Manhattan. MSM going in on a low, losing at home on Senior Day after building up a 16 point halftime lead.

Don’t love potentially having Iona in the QF but really like Marist as the 3 with Rider/St. Peters as the 4-5. Can’t remember the last time I was excited about tourney week.
I like our bracket. We can deal with Iona who is not playing well lately. I would expect to play Marist in the semis and if we can keep the game above 60 points with them I like our chances. Let QU deal with Rider or St . Pete’s .

Iona is a tough draw for us in that we don't match up as well with their style of play. We have lost to them twice already. But they are not the same team since Greg Gordon left the program. I believe they are something like 2-4 since his departure with losses to some of the bottom half programs (Manhattan and MSM). So all in all I agree with Stags74, this is the better side of the bracket.
It’s really pick your poison. No easy road. I’m worried about Iona, even without a guy who destroyed us on the O-boards last time. Just so easy to lose any game. That said, our guards are special and Yetna may have arrived right on time. Every game will be a grind. We’ve got as good a chance as any bye team and. a better chance than we’ve had in years.
I can't believe the MAAC is separating the quarterfinals into 2 days, Fairfield will have to wait 48 hours in between games if we win on Wed.
And this is all because the league still insists on holding the men's & women's tourneys at the same venue. I'll say it again - ship the women's tourney to White Plains and stop screwing with the game times of the men's bracket.

I'm in the get out of AC camp and I don't disagree with you, Claver. I'd be curious if they do it that way cause the conference just simply doesn't have the manpower to have two separate tournaments.

Would be nice to have the men's Championship game be played on Sunday afternoon as opposed to Saturday night. Would allow for more weekend time for fans to travel to the events and also have less scheduling conflict with the ladies.

The thing is already interminable. First prize...5 days in Atlantic City! Second prize...6 days in Atlantic City!
