Huge fan of what Casey's done this year, glad they removed the interim tag, and I hate to be the guy focusing on the negative, but for the life of me I can't understand why with 42 seconds left, 20 on the shot clock and a 5 point lead, the best free throw shooter in the entire league is your inbounder.
I had the same question. They did it twice. Don't you want to get it to your 90% FT shooter.
Most important player on an inbounds - is the inbounder.

Mark of a good team and Coach when you’re not playing your game and you still have enough in the tank to win against a good team that beat you twice in regular season
Gutsy win for sure. Loved the defensive intensity down the stretch.
Could the MAAC find two worse announcers for the game? To me, it seemed like they did zero pre-game research and preparation as they continually messed up players’ names on both sides! Flipping over to other games, the production values were so much better than what we had in AC. Typical MAAC I guess…
I believe the color announcer is the same guy who is the color guy for Marist so he should know the MAAC players. His partner is the play by play guy for Rider so he to is well aware of the MAAC.

Smooth Williams is the best they’ve got.
Smooth should have been on the call. These guys were terrible. I wish Heussler could get a shot on MAACT. He is nonbias and knows it better then both of these guys combined.
Since the Stags were the designated home team, I was wishing Bob and Joey D could have been imported to do the game.
Actually it's too bad that we couldn't go back a few years when the two would have been on the RADIO broadcast of the game (what the hell is that) so all who couldn't get to view ESPN+ (unavailable in those days of course) could of at least been given the opportunity to hear the the excitement of a very important Stag tournament win from a local angle by those outstanding professionals. Anyway sadly they were never going to be given this assignment in 2024 as that's not how the system works. But since he couldn't be on the call, Bob himself was in the building rooting hard as a fan of the team just like us. So while he couldn't express to his listeners what was happening on the court, nevertheless he got to experience this thrilling victory in person himself. So in summary, don't feel bad for Bob H. or Joey for that matter whom I'm sure was following the action where-ever he might have been. In many ways though, I do miss the "old days" when EVERY Fairfield game was carried on WICC with our own guys connecting with all us loyal fans of the team.

Guess so. That’s why I’m not a HC.
Yeah even when things don't seem to make sense, somehow almost everything Casey touches ends up turning positive in the end even if a couple of moves turn negative. Actually my criticism of this particular play that I think everyone is referring to is not so much who was throwing the ball in bounds, but rather the fact that it appeared as though kind of a "home run" play was called which involved a dangerous lob pass (that was intercepted) rather than a safe toss to the open backcourt where we would have probably gotten fouled with the opportunity to at least run off a few seconds and then very likely make a free throw or two with one of our foul shooters who in reality (other than maybe Yetna) were very likely to convert. Like you though, I'll leave the tough decisions to Chris who surely is continuing to do us proud as now the "official' coach of the Fairfield Stags!

IMO I do not miss WICC. ESPN+ is the best thing that ever happened to the league. No matter where I am I can watch (or just listen in the car) to all conference games. Absolutely worth a few bucks a month. And get a running box score and stats in the process.
I may be imagining this, but didn’t we have games on WTNH Ch 8 of New Haven, and then games on Cable vision Ch 12 a while back? I like the idea of ESPN+. We’re away on vacation and the house we’re renting has weird TV coverage, but I was able to stream the game on my IPad. I probably missed some of the commercials but I saw some stuff for Iona, but not for Fairfield . Did I just st miss Fairfield stuff?

Looks like there are commercial slots on ESPN+ are matched to your IP address. In FL seeing commercials for Palm Beach Toyota.
