Consolation Round The three highest seeded teams not advancing to the semifinals will host doubleheaders on Nov. 19 and 20.
The matchups for the consolation games will be pre-determined and will not be based on wins/losses to ensure no rematches from the earlier rounds.

Pomeroy says there is a 66% chance of us winning this game. Here are the 3 key players for Penn: 6-3 Jr. Miles Cartwright who averages 21ppg, has made 5 of 9 from the arc, and leads the team with 4.0 assists..... I assume he is a scoring PG 6-8 Jr. Fran Dougherty who averages 15ppg, 8.5rpg, and can also hit the "3" 6-2 Fr. Tony Hicks who averages 8.5ppg. He was a Parade All-American and come highly regarded. Penn seems to be a very good shooting team. The only way we lose ths games is if we let them hit open 3's.

Stags win 62-53! Derek Needham with 14 points. Amadou Sidibe with 8 boards in 15 minutes but 5 fouls. Fran Dougherty with 10 boards and 31 of Penn's 53 points.

Didn't see or hear the game, but you've got to love the fact that Penn (in spite of Dougherty being on fire) only shot 35% as a team.

From the box... Matthews was 1-2 from 3pt. Barrow 0-1 from 3pt. SJ encouraging them to extend their range? Mikulic only 10 mins - 0pt, 0rb, 2blck. Sidibe with 4pt, 8rb, 2blck in 15 mins. SJ resting Mikulic some... playing a rested/active Sidibe? Sounds good. Gilbert 9pts in 27 mins. A 3pt and a couple of dunks, including one that was described as "MONSTER" by someone at the game. Jenkins 3TO in 4 mins - but got his first NCAA points. Less than 24 hours after a tough loss to VA - I like the win. Like the contributions from everyone.

Nice win! This team is interesting. Watched them on ESPN3 last night and Mikulic looked great. He will be very good in MAAC play. Good to see the other guys stepping up a bit today as well. Hearing that Coleman Johnson is going to be another nice addtion. Way to go Stags!!!

Agree with JS, this is a good program win.

Heard the postgame show on WICC. Needham seemed to imply that Josip got a lot of pine time today because of a defensive lapse (not communicating) and SJ wanted to send him a message. Liked the way SJ used the bench. Lots of minutes for Gilbert who'd definitely have less tired legs than the guys who played many minutes last night.
