The top-seeded Fairfield University volleyball team downed fourth-seeded Niagara University 3-1 (25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-21) this afternoon at Alumni Hall to advance to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship final.
The Stags will face the winner of the #2 Siena College/#3 Canisius College match in tomorrow's final at 1pm in Alumni Hall.
The Stags (21-8) won their ninth consecutive match of the season and will appear in the MAAC Championship final for the second consecutive year.
FYI: Fairfield University junior Rachel Romansky was named the 2012 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Setter of the Year while Head Coach Alija Pittenger was named the Anaconda Sports Coach of the Year
Romansky also earned a spot on the All-MAAC First Team along with senior Brianna Dixion and sophomore Caitlin Stapleton. Freshman Nicole Marzik earned a spot on the MAAC All-Rookie Team.

#2 Siena defeats #3 Canisius (3-1) this afternoon.
MAAC Championship - #1 Stags vs. #2 Siena at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 18 in Alumni Hall for the automatic NCAA bid.
Stags beat Siena (3-1) in Alumni Hall on October 6 and Siena beat the Stags (3-1) in Loudonville on September 19.
