Despite the ass kissing and geographically ignorant bias by the executive producer/editor of SportzEdge (WTNH NEWS 8 in New Haven) for the logo of the other MAAC team in Connecticut as "the cream of the crop" and for dissing Fairfield by not even mentioning the Stags, Stag fans/alumni can right this dismissive wrong by voting for our Stag logo between now and July 31:
Welcome back to SportzEdge.com’s Coolest NCAA Logo Tournament. We consider ourselves a pretty big deal, and you should too.
After a great early start, we are now about halfway through the index of conferences, and the race continues to stay hot. The mid-major conferences appear to be seeing the biggest surges, particularly in the Big South and in the Conference USA. The AAC and the A-10 aren’t too far behind.
Storms are a’blowing outside, so now that you have some time to sit down and explore the web, make your way over to our index and get clicking!
-64 teams will make the NCAA Coolest Logo Field (just like the basketball tournament should be).
-Each of the conferences will receive one automati, voted on by fans (assuming there are any).
-At-large bids will be chosen based on the non-league champions with the most votes
Our plan is to unveil two conferences a day, each day, until we finish all 32 conferences. Then, the winners in each conference will advance to the “NCAA Tournament,” which will run throughout the month of August.
MAAC: This conference has some pretty decent logos, but let’s be honest, the Quinnipiac Bobcat is the cream of the crop. Sure, Canisius’ Golden Griffin is unique, if not outdated, and Iona, Marist, Siena and Monmouth all have cool logo designs.
But this should be a walk for in-state Quinnipiac, whose bobcat is dope, especially in the alternate logo where he’s on the prowl.
Hopefully the members and visitors to this Stag Message Board will see this and vote. Interestingly, from the Fairfield University Athletics Facebook page and also from the Fairfield University Facebook page:
WTNH SportzEdge wants to know which MAAC logo is the coolest. Vote for the Stags now!!
However, nothing on the Fairfield University Alumni FB page. Why not? If it is important enough to Athletics and the University to post the link and appeal for votes on FB then it should also be to AR on their FB page. Aren't our fellow alumni the most likely voters? Did Athletics and or the University not inform AR or did AR decide not to post the appeal and the link? Only two weeks to vote! VOTE NOW!!
Everybody on North Benson Road someday needs to be cooperating and on the same page social media wise and otherwise and with the same goal. Someday?

Looks like the board has responded. Voted a half hour ago and QU was in first place. Checked again a few minutes ago and the Stag has zoomed way out in front of the pack.

PS, Rider has 2 votes. In my mind that's conclusive evidence they have at least 2 fans although I guess its possible they have one fan that voted twice......
Fairfield University Athletics shared a link. Yesterday · Edited WTNH SportzEdge wants to know which MAAC logo is the coolest. Vote for the Stags now!!
Stags still up in the voting. Kudos to the Cheerleading and Dance Team Facebook pages for posting a link to the Fairfield University Athletics appeal for votes. Apparently it was important to someone in charge of those FB pages that more people see this logo voting information and the appeal for Stag votes. However, still nothing on our Alumni FB page nor any of the other Fairfield Team pages. Why is that? If it is important enough to be on the FB pages of Fairfield University and Fairfield University Athletics then why is it not on ALL the Fairfield social media sites now, especially AR? Is it not important to those people in charge of the various FB and social media sites or are they just not aware of it (and if so why) or not interested or too busy? Is this indicative of uncoordinated business as usual or do changes need to be made in how things are done on campus and how information is distributed? Is everyone/anyone on the same page and with a clearly defined cooperative goal?
I doubt that the votes are coming from the 6 members of the Quinnipiac Message Board who haven't posted anything since January but now they have passed the Stags. Still nothing on our AR Facebook page or any other Stag Team FB page about the logo tournament or an appeal to vote.
I would think that if any school was truly interested in this poll, they would have student write a Macro to automatically cast votes. The poll not only let's you vote unlimited times, but has no protection against automated voting.
By the sudden increase in votes, I guess some people have figured that out.

We need to have the Macro on more computers. It's obviously a joke of a poll.
