I met Mike Kirkland in NYC. He was very impressive as a person and an imposing figure. He no doubt was brought in to add a level of Physicality, Aggressive, and Attitude to the frontcourt. He not only has that, but in the Red-White scrimmage he showed he has game. While not as big as Anthony Johnson, I feel his game and style of play resembles a combination of AJ, Amadou, and Oscar Garcia (persona non-grata). I feel that Kirkland is in competition to be part of the starting rotation at PF/C. Amadou is a given as one of the starters(25mpg)), and I feel that Marcus will play about 10mpg at PF..... so that leaves about 45mpg. I feel Kirkland, Degnan, Malcolm and Coleman are battling for those 45 remaining minutes as part of the regular rotation at PF/C . If this was a Boxing match, I think Kirkland won round 1. www.fairfieldstags.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=810776&SPID=137824&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=209643058&DB_OEM_ID=32500

Boy he really looks big in this picture you have posted JS! Very friendly and outgoing and a nice kid. Certainly he will have an opportunity for major minutes as he did show some good things in the scrimmage. BTW as I have stated before, I love these bios on our new players. I believe Segura hasn't been up yet. But this is fun reading, so good job by the person(s) who have written these stories!
