stagal understated todays prep game vs hillhouse. it was a example of how a team, coach, fans, and students come together as one. the old phrase one for all, all for one. the thrill, joy, and excitement will never be equalled by a stag team that thrives on status quo. stag nation will not have the glow of a big win in a big spot, again, in our lifetime - - under the government now in power. by my count there were 6 stag fans in the building ( ask any of them ) stag fans are left with despair, disappointment, sadness, frustration, anger, ( resulting in banishment ) stag fans are being dissed, treated with a lack of respect, placed under the bus. those 6 people, along with the rest of the sell out crowd, were able to squeeze some juice out of 2 years of watching the old guard vanish before our eyes.

Great large pic of Tommy Nolan and Prep article front sports page of today's Ct Post. Not sure how to provide the link so would appreciate anyone who can do so....
Yep, the top left one took up nearly a quarter of the page. That was him urging on this teammates and crowd to rally after he fouled out later in the 4th quarter. The strategy was to put Hillhouse on the line and so Tommy with 4 fouls purposely committed his 5th to do that. Other players were in foul trouble as well. I would have preferred the coach to put in a bench player to do that but it was done and it worked. After being down 33-22 at half, Prep nearly shut down Hillhouse's offense in the 3rd quarter with a 12-2 run and got to tie it up in the 4th before falling behind again. Nolan stole an inbounds pass for a bucket and got to the line a few times keeping them in the game. I was hoping Prep would get to play Westhill in the championship game against Livingston, and I got my wish. Should be a doozy!
Bingo, you got it right Redsea. But certainly TOT was a great example of a player that got the most out of his ability when in his senior year (86-87) because of a couple injuries and lack of other decent bigs on the team, he had to play the POWER FORWARD spot quite a bit. Certainly his spirit and competitiveness were a major factor that helped him average almost 7 rebounds a game. This despite the fact that he was not huge in size nor a great jumper. And yes, Nolan does seem to have this same makeup in personality. So in that regard there is definitely a comparison which might reference some success down the line for Tommy.

Watch out for Livingston. He can go for 40 in a flash if you're not careful (as he did against Norwalk in the FCIAC Championship). And the PG Donaldson is lightning fast (although he doesn't score nearly as much). Not a great amount of height in the paint- Prep should have an advantage there. But just as I told you last night, same applies in this game. A TOSSUP!
You called it right last night, nash!! lol. I didn't expect quite that kind of game but it was great. I'm looking forward to seeing Livingston against Nolan.
I hate to see what Sydney is going to do to this kid. Let him redshirt for a year and bleed the spirit out of him so we get a shell of a young man the next year.

Should be a great game....... Livingston said, in a Hartford Courant article, that no one in the state could stop him off the dribble. Thats exactly what we need..... someone who can beat anybody off the dribble.... and confident enough to say it. Hope TNT2 is able to talk to Livingston after the game and say..... see you at Fairfield next year
Short Video of Jeramiah Livingston. I would like to see TNT2 shut him down. If he does, we pass on Livingston. If Livingston goes wild, we get a verbal on the spot
Well I'll get to see just how good Livingston is and see what kind of defense they'll have against him. Someone other than Tommy will guard him, probably Foley, Kelly or Gerics. I'm guessing Nolan will have his usual all around type of game scoring somewhere in the teens. If they shut him down then someone else will pick up the slack. I've never seen Westhill play but the Ludlowe coach has played both and agrees with nash, it'll be a tossup. By the way, that article is in today's Ct Post. I'm looking for a high scoring game with the winner in the 80's.
