25% from three and 62% from the line. This ain't good!
Not sure where those numbers came from. On the other hand I located his stats from a team he played on in 13-14. 22 games, 31 MPG, 14.5 PPG, 45.7% (2P), 33% (3P), 74.2% (FT), 4.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 3.6 TOs. Of course I have no idea of the type of competition he played against.
Also, the shooting numbers he put up in the couple games that JS posted must mean something (unless of course they are fictional). Realistically however I think it's clear in watching the film that the best part of his game is creating scoring opportunities for his teammates, something the Stags haven't had for ages. He certainly could be an important piece IMO. However I would never declare proficiency (or lack of) just from watching tape. Just high hopes!

Huh?
Eurohopes (@eurohopes) 5/20/15, 6:21 PM Lithuanian Aidas Kavaliauskas ('95) commits to Fairfield U. Still undecided if he'll join 2015 or 2016 class. twitter.com/aidielnikas/st…

There are a lot of different stats out there. For the most part he seems like a good shooter from the Field, Arc and FT Line.... and that is looking at individual BoxScores. He also has taken a lot of shots in all 3 categories in individual games. He shows good balance between passing and shooting, meaning the defense will have a tough time guarding him. He also can sore on the outside and inside..... that makes him a "triple threat".... with his greatest value being Passing. The only real concern is if he can do it against MAAC competition and defense.
Segura and Aidas will compete for PT, should be a great competition, and Segura has the experience and loads of potential. But the winner will be who makes the other players on the team better. Aidas surely has the passing advantage
Possible that he's been told to say that because of the scholarship issue.
I think that is possible and I hope that is the case. Technically Fairfield can't accept him unless they have room, or if they are still recruiting they can't add a recruit unless there is room for someone. I think we need another point guard and I would not want to wait until 2016 for this player, we need someone now.
