I just checked the Holy Cross stats and their top 3 scorers are all Frosh. They also lead their team in Assists and steals.
6-1 Lowder 19ppg, 6-5 Pridjen 12.5ppg 6-2 Wade 12ppg
Pomeroy has Holy Cross winning 70-68.
Holy Cross lost to Maryland 95 - 71. Holy Cross Lost to New Hampshire 87-83.
Its their home opener, and I am sure Holy Cross wants to get their 1st win. The Stags really have played well for the better part of 2 games. And we could have won both games. So I think its our time to get our 1st win by 3 points. We have played surprisingly good with our Backcourt of Benning, Cruz, and Taliaferro. Just have to see who will be our PF and Center. Have to go with Maidoh and Methnani

Two desperate teams, that's for sure. Loss to Maryland by that margin is not terrible. OTOH New Hampshire is not highly regarded at all, therefore that might be considered a 'bad' loss. So who knows how good the Crusaders are considering they are playing so many new players under a new coach in Brett Nelson who runs a completely different style of offense than former coach Bill Carmody. A lot more emphasis on playing fast and scoring as evidenced by their 77-78 PPG average after these first two contests. Maybe stopping people is a problem however. And it is interesting that their 3 freshmen high scorers in these games do not include the freshman that I know a lot about in Joey Reilly whom I think is a very good player but for some reason in the limited time he has played so far has not even attempted so much as one shot. He does have 3 assists with no turnovers however. But my point is, if he has been beaten out by these other guys I've got to believe they have quite a good bunch of new players, and that should auger well for their program in the coming years. Hopefully though, we can take advantage of their inexperience in this contest.

The Stags top 5 players in MPG are all experienced players. We should be able to use that experience to our advantage. I like our chances in this game Benning - 75 Junior Cruz - 69 Junior Taliaferro - 64 Senior Whipple - 43 Soph Methnani - 42 Junior --------------------- Total - 293 minutes
