The America East announced the 2012 All-Conference teams this afternoon. Four student-athletes from the Fairfield University field hockey team received America East honors. Defender Felicitas Heinen was voted unanimously to the America East First-Team after an incredible sophomore campaign. Heinen set single season records for both points (35) and goals (15). Junior midfielder Shealyn Testa was named to the All-Conference Second-Team after a career-best ten point season breaking down to three goals and four assists. Testa has played in every single game since her debut as a Stag. Two freshmen made it onto the All-Rookie team, Emily McCauley and Kaitlyn Taddeo. Midfielder/forward Taddeo was a unanimous selection after becoming a huge offensive threat for the Stags in the second half of the season. She garnered nine points (two goals, five assists) on the season after playing in all 19 regular season games during her freshman campaign.
