Fairfield Frank posted some information on Twitter about Sunday’s opponent. He has their head coach as former 10 year NBA player Darnell Walker. Might have had an autocorrect issue as he’s Darrell Walker, a former star at the University of Arkansas.

Little Rock looks similar to the Stags in that their strength appears to be their guards, particularly 6'0" KK Robinson (15.7 PPG/ 5.6 RPG) who previously played for Arkansas and Texas A&M), and 6'5 Jamir Chaplin (14.6 PPG/6.5 RPG), a grad transfer from South Florida. However, they do have six players 6'8 or better. The Trojans average better than 77 PPG so look for a lot of scoring.

Statistically they actually look a slight bit better than the Stags in most categories, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Another positive for them is that until they got beat pretty badly in their league tournament (the OVC), they were hot down the stretch and therefore playing their best ball of the year. That said, the league itself is not very good now, and quite frankly even their OOC games were not played against any great competition. So on the surface yes this looks like an even match-up between two teams that want to get up and down the court quickly and score a lot of points. If nothing else this should be an interesting and exciting contest that might serve to get our primary players back to shooting the ball the way we know they can. Wishing them well of course. Go Stags!
As Casey likes to say in the podcasts, he likes practices to be 80/20. 80% about what we do and 20% about what our opponent does. If that’s true, practices must have been interesting this week. It’s been posted that Leach will not be playing Sunday. Does anyone know if our other player in the portal, JJJ, also will not be playing?
Cause without those two and Rogan obviously not available, we’re looking at extended minutes for Jack Brown —- unless Casey has been toying with playing Seck at the 4 and using only Yetna and Peyton in the 5.
What do others on the board think? Will Casey split the center position three ways and use Brown and Curtis as the backups at the forward and guard positions or perhaps use Seck at the 4 to give Little Rock some looks that they wouldn’t have prepared for?

I would think we are set at Center with Smith, Yetna and Seck. Perhaps we will get to see smith play some minutes at Forward along with Bleechmore. I would hope Jack gets some minutes and I would think Curtis is first man in at the guard spot.
Hadn’t thought of it but Peyton at the 4 probably makes more sense than Seck. He’s a better passer and does hit the three on occasion. Yetna and Seck should be able to capably handle pivot responsibilities.
