What a great season, tough second half for the ladies, we got a little hesitant to shoot at times, the size and strength of Indy showed up, and they shot fantastic in the second half. The announcers for the game were HORRENDOUSLY biased... shame on them for being that way, your job is to commentate. It was like watching Bill Walton do a UCLA game, or A Rod a Yankees game, horribly non professional! Pretty apparent that a tougher non-league schedule would help for the next few years. None of the guards adjusted on layups and drives to the size and speed of their bigs and guards and we got blocked a lot, and had to adjust shots in the paint. We are a well build MAAC team, we just need to adjust some parts (a legit big, longer bodies wing, etc) to compete at the next level but all the pieces are there, coaches, returners, awesome facility, great fan support for the next 1-10 years! Go Stags.

And just as important, the team carried out its other mission superbly: bringing the Fairfield name and brand to an area where it might otherwise not be well known.

Go Stags. It was a first for the team and a reality they don't often encounter in the MAAC. Need to work on spacing for our smaller guards. Get the shot fake into their repertoires. I know the whistle wasn't going Fairfield's way, but I also though Indiana was much more adept at intentionally getting Fairfield defenders up in the air and then drawing contact. All nuances I'm sure the team will work on as they move forward.

MTSU vs. LSU is like a carbon copy of Fairfield vs. Indiana.
LSU stepped it up and is closing on a 48-8 run... after trailing 41-33. In the 2nd half they are making every shot... and when they don't a foul is called. 37 FT vs. 9 FT advantage and 16 PF vs. 31 PF. I'm not saying it made the difference... but the home court whistle (crowd) was certainly a part of it.

It is amazing how many views a tweet now gets for Fairfield WBB than it did 3-4 months ago...the one post got viewed over 200k times, unreal!

I thought the refereeing was pretty poor overall that game, and in several other NCAA games that I watched this weekend. Get a few portal players and lets go. Also feel like we had a lot of defensive holes against Indy with easy drives against some of our players on the perimeter that forced other players to leave their girls on the perimeter way too much.

One last reflection on this game...
Indiana ended up being the team that gave eventual national champion SC the best game... losing by 4. The Stags were leading Indiana in the 2Q and within 3 for a moment in the 3Q - before the wheels came off.
